I was nominated by a carer to be one of the 8000 people honoured to carry the Olympic Flame on its way from Greece to the Olympic Stadium in London in 2012.
I was nominated to Coca Cola’s selection process to find ‘Future Flames’. These are people with a passion that brings happiness to others. In most cases these involved sport or music or similar but I was a different type of Future Flame with my passion being Biblical Counselling - counselling and teaching. I guess this is rare enough without me being almost bedbound most of the time!
